CALL FOR PAPERS
Proposals for Paper Presentations in the given Speaker Proposal form are invited, dealing with the any of the sub-themes listed below or any other aspect of the study of English Literature.

Main Theme: ENGLISH LITERARY STUDIES: CURRENT TRENDS AND CONCURRENT CHALLENGES.

2. Literature of the Marginalized and the Subaltern
3. Literature and Performing Arts
4. Literature, Films and Visual Culture
5. Problems of translation.
6. Literature defining and defined by the Cinema
7. Language through literature: possibilities and challenges
8. New Literatures
9. Eco-consciousness in literature
10. Gender concerns in literature
11. Literature in the post colonial scene
12. The body, the mind and literary creativity
13. Culture, ethics and morality in literature6.
14. Technology for the Teaching of Literature
15. Approaches to the Teaching of Literature
16. Qualitative Improvement of Research in Literary Studies.
17. Study of the works of individual writers

Both the Abstract and the full paper are to be sent as MSWord documents in Times New Roman font of 12 points and 1.5 line spacing.

The abstract , which should not be in more than 200 words should first be sent as an email attachment along with Speaker Proposal form. On acceptance of the proposal, the full paper too (1000 words) must be sent along with the a brief CV of the presenter/presenters only as an email attachment.

Deadline for Submission of Abstracts: 31 May 2012.

Paper presenters and also their co-paper presenters, if any, should pay rhe Registration fee on the acceptance of their proposals. Only then their paper presentations will be included in the Conference Schedule.

Last date for Submission of full papers: 31 July 2012.

Second International Conference for English Language Teacher Educators and Teachers.

 Deadline for applications: 20 December 2011.
Potential speakers are encouraged to submit proposals as soon as possible but no later than 20 December 2011
 Acceptance of proposals: 30 January 2012.

Organised by the British Council, EFL-U (The English and Foreign Language University), ELTAI (English Language Teachers Association India) and supported by IATEFL Testing, Evaluation and Assessment Special Interest Group (TEASIG) and Teacher Training and Education Special Interest Group (TTEd SIG)

Plenaries, workshops, panels and paper presentations will take place over days 1, 2 and 3.

  • State sector trainers and teacher educators from India and South Asia
  • British Council, EFLU, ELTAI and YLT SIG and TTEd SIG specialists
  • Teacher association members (regional and international)

    Early bird registration fee (for all registrations received on or before 15 January 2012) NR 1000 £100

    Fee includes registration, conference pack, refreshments and lunch.
    Please note that:
    1. We are unable to reimburse speakers for expenses. All speakers are required to register for the conference and pay the appropriate conference registration fee by demand draft - please refer to the registration form for more details.
    2. All speakers are responsible for obtaining their own visas for India. Should your proposal be accepted, invitation letters will be organised.
    3. All speakers and delegates will be issued with a certificate of participation.
    4. The deadline for applications for speakers: 20 December 2011
    5. Deadline proposals accepted: 30 January 2012.
    6. Deadline for speakers registration: 4 February 2012 (if registration is not received then proposal is not accepted)
    7. Early bird registration fee is applicable only for registrations received on or before 15 January 2012
    8. The deadline for registrations for delegates: 15 February 2012.
    9. Registrations for the conference will be accepted on a first come first served basis.
    10. Registration fee will not be refunded.
